Reubens is the first restaurant I visited when I came to Montreal. I don’t remember what I had back then; that’s 2 and half years ago now. However, I remember that it’s was delicious!

My boyfriend and I went there last weekend. I got the “Reubens Original Sandwich” and my boyfriend orded “Jack Daniels-something.”

The Reubens sandwich is basically a smoked meat sandwich with half pound of meat!! That’s a lot of meat! It’s went well with the cheese and Dijon mustard sauce it comes with. It also comes with huge pile of french fries.

I don’t remember the exact name of my boyfriend’s dish, but it was some sort of chopped filet, fried in Jack Daniels sauce, server on a bed of mashed potatoes and topped with fried onion strips. I really liked the sauce actually! I want to know how to make it!

There are two Reubens close to each other on Sainte-Catherine. This one is near Peel street and other one is near McGill College. We have been to both of them, but we highly recommend Peel one. We didn’t like the other one so much. I wonder why they are so different…
